Fed up with toxic politics? Hey, us too! And there are lots of ways you can help.
#1) On an on-going basis, and at the statewide level, we need supporters with skills: team-building and organizational development, legislative knowledge, graphic design, social media, database management, fund-raising, legal. And others.
#2) But on typically an every other year basis - years with November elections in particular - we need some skills, but mostly on-the-ground supporters. Campaign support. Letter-writers. Phone bank help. People to distribute literature and lawn signs. Some skills still important - campaign financial management, compliance monitoring, fund-raising. Maybe some short-term graphics and social media help. But all primarily at the local level.
Where we are right now, and going into 2026, all of the above will be important. But capabilities in item #2, especially in districts where we have candidates running, need to be the focus in 2026.
The work of building a different kind of political party is no easy task, but we're blessed with a talented and thoughtful community of volunteers, organizers and leaders.
