For over 50 years, Jon has served every President since Lyndon Johnson, first as an Army Officer in Vietnam and as a Deputy US Marshal specializing in counter-terrorism. For over 30 years, Jon served as a diplomat focusing on the former Soviet Union. In 1991, he was appointed as the first Acting Ambassador to an independent Ukraine.
