CHARLESTON, APRIL 20– The South Carolina Forward Party, the fastest-growing political party in the state, said today it would hold its 2026 state convention online on Saturday, Apr 25.
The online event is scheduled for 4 p.m. The Party is accepting RSVPs at https://www.southcarolinaforwardparty.com/2026_state_convention Those responding will be sent a link to access the proceedings.
Keynote speakers at the convention will be Forward Party leader Kerry Healey, and well-known SC political commentator Andy Brack. Healey will address the State Of The Party, and Brack is expected to discuss prospects for a third major party in South Carolina.
Healey serves as Executive Chair of the Forward Party. She is a former Lt. Governor of Massachusetts, and a lecturer at Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs. From 2006 -2013, she served as president of Babson College, the highly-regarded business school in Wellesley MA.
Brack is a widely read political columnist, recognized multiple times as South Carolina’s best columnist and best political columnist by the S.C. Press Association. He is a former Democratic candidate for Congress and currently serves as publisher of the Charleston City Paper and Statehouse Report.
Following the keynote presentations, individual introductions will be made by the Party’s candidates from Horry, Charleston, Clarendon & Spartanburg Counties.
A brief business meeting will follow.
